Dipika Kakar has left her fans concerned after announcing her diagnosis of stage two liver cancer. Following a challenging 14-hour surgical procedure, she is reportedly on the mend. However, her husband, Shoaib, who is also a well-known actor, shared that there remains a risk of cancer recurrence despite the surgery.
Shoaib's Insights on Dipika's Condition
In a recent vlog, Shoaib discussed Dipika's health status, stating, "Initially, we believed that removing the tumor would resolve everything. Currently, there are no cancer cells detected in her body. However, the biopsy and PET scan results revealed a more alarming situation. The tumor was identified as grade three and poorly differentiated, indicating its aggressive nature. The likelihood of recurrence is quite significant."
Future Treatment Plans
Shoaib further explained that post-surgery, the doctor has prescribed medication. While there are no cancer cells at present, if any are found later, the treatment dosage will be adjusted, and she will receive intravenous medication. He mentioned, "Her new treatment journey will commence next week, which could last from one to two years, with scans scheduled every three weeks."
A Heartfelt Birthday Tribute
Recently, Dipika celebrated Shoaib's birthday, expressing her gratitude for his unwavering support. She shared, "Celebrating the man who brings light into my life every day with his love... You have been my rock through both good and bad times, holding my hand tightly. Your presence gives me strength and comfort, and even in tough times, your support makes it bearable. We have faced many challenges together recently, including tears in hospital corridors and fears before scans and surgery. You have stayed awake at night to ensure I am okay..."
Wishing Shoaib a Happy Birthday
She concluded her message with warm birthday wishes for Shoaib, stating, "Happy Birthday to the man who not only loves me but also wraps me in warmth and ensures my happiness. May Allah bless you with every joy, and your name is in every prayer I make."
